About Me
Alison Grady has been an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2011. She offers LGBTQ-inclusive postpartum doula services, prenatal education, in one on one, or group settings, as well as private lactation consultations in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the surrounding areas.
Her work in breastfeeding began in 2008, when she was accredited by La Leche League International as a Volunteer Group Leader and Counselor. Alison served 2 years on LLL of Texas Area Council as Area Coordinator of Events. She was the New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force Conference Manager from 2014 to 2017, and served as the Co-chair of the New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force Albuquerque Chapter for one year. She continues to volunteer with both La Leche League, and The New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force.
Alison has had the honor of being a doula since 2012. She uses evidenced based information to support her clients in all their parenting goals. Alison and her spouse, Robert have 9 children, 4 boys and 5 girls, including a set of twins. Her experience with births and breastfeeding led her on a path towards helping new families establish positive experiences. Alison spends her free time reading, hiking, playing board games, and swimming. Inspired through her work with moms and babies, she looks forward to serving in her community for many years to come.
