The term, Doula, comes from a Greek word which originally meant servant. The modern definition is a woman who has been trained in the physiology and emotional patterns of pregnancy and childbirth, to serve women and families throughout the journey of pregnancy and labor.
Pregnancy and birth bring about many questions and changes for parents. In an effort to make the journey into parenthood a smooth transition, I provide prenatal education, and postpartum doula services. If you have questions don't hesitate to contact me.
"Alison was such an amazing doula! We were so lucky to have her for the birth of our little girl Quinn. Alison has such a calming presence, I was so comforted by her knowledge and experience with births and babies, and her gentle nature. She knew when to step in, when to give space, when to offer ideas for changing things up. I can't rave enough about her. Giving birth is an extraordinary event, and we were so fortunate to have support and guidance from Alison. Thank you so much!" -Jennifer
"Thank you so much for everything, Alison. You were amazing! I don't know what we would have done without you. Thank you for being there for us during the birth of our daughter." -Janele
